Dear Reader,Thank you for your interest in working closely with us in the call of the Great Commission. The World Christian pages are our shop window, and a lot of other valuable work goes on behind the scenes with real people talking face to face with real people, all over the world.We are working on the idea of forming an official network of volunteer representatives or missions communities or cells, because lots of people all round the world are asking again and again if they can get more involved with the missions vision. Many people want to use their faith and spare time to see the gospel reach further into the lives of the lost, the last and the least of the world and this is our vision.
We see that a representative could make it their responsibility to develop the following, bit by bit, not all at once, only as much as he or she could handle with peace and joy.
- Prayer for us, for the network and some of the people and projects that come into mind and spirit. Above all and before all - prayer.
- Involving others in prayer for the same call to world mission, starting maybe with a small home prayer group of local people, going all the way up to regional or national network of linked prayer cells. We could set up a special page to feed the network with the latest prayer requests.
- Awareness. Letting the national or local Christian press and radio know about the web site, the free training materials and the people and projects that it serves. Hopefully the media would then do some free publicity through articles, mentions or programme announcements.
- Being a telephone contact point for people to talk to about their visions, dreams and ambitions for Jesus, and equally being an encouragement for those who have no-one like-minded to talk to in their local church. You don't have to be a professional, just interested and willing.
- Releasing and sharing with the rest of us, the new initiatives and creative ideas the Lord gives to you. Going through the doors that He opens to share the vision.
- Last of all, at the bottom of the list - fund-releasing, not fund raising because we here at World Christians have never done that. We think that funds are released in prayer and then gathered in as the Lord provides, and then sent on to where they are needed. That is what we use our charity The DCI Trust for over here and the same UK Government approved and regulated facilities are open for all to use.
As I said first - it must be little by little, not all at once, only as much as one could handle with peace and joy.
See what you think, but please be very sure that all help in prayer is the most valuable blessing of all. In fact in answer to increasing prayer from around the world this month has been record breaking in terms of new subscriptions to the news page from all over the world.
